Please Read ^^

I've been off of Deviantart for a little while due to a very personal matter that I want you guys to know about.

This past Friday, sometime between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm, my mom and my step-dad went to the vet to get my beloved dog put to sleep. Yes, I did go to school that day, but couldn't make it the entire day there. I was out of it, I didn't talk, and I cried about every time I glanced at the clock. It was a very hard day for me, as was the afternoon before when my mom told me what was going to happen.

Thursday afternoon, I stayed with my dog from 3:45 to about 10:00 when my mom forced me to go upstairs and go to bed. I didn't sleep well, of course, getting up at about 3 am to go downstairs and sit by my dog's bed that was near the kitchen. He wasn't there, but rather, he was with my mom in her bedroom.

Friday morning, I got ready for school, slowly. I didn't care if I was late; I didn't even want to go. After I had all my things, I went downstairs and sat by my dog's kitchen bed, which he was now in. My mom sat beside me and picked up my dog, handing him to me, and I sat there for ten minutes with him in my arms, crying my heart out as he licked my face all over. Then my mom took him, put him back in his bed, and led me out the door. That was the last time I saw him...

His name was Bailey, and he was 14 1/2 years old. He was a small Miniature Poodle, with the best temperament anyone could ask for. I'll always love him, and I miss him so dearly. I'll post a picture I took this past July of us on here so you can see what he looked like. I'll also be showing a poem a teacher read to me before I left school.
